Eight Wealth Traits of Financially Successful People
I recently was sent an article from Rich Dad Poor Dad’s paper asset advisor, Andy Tanner, that described eight traits of financially successful people. These qualities are worth noting and working towards. So much of what happens in our lives is what we think and practice on a daily basis; our MINDSET.
1. They spend time with impressive people. These are people who energize you and support you to achieve your goals. This includes coaches, mentors, and others who can help lift you higher.
2. They detach emotion from the business. This is an equally valuable skill for investors, too. Like I always teach: when emotion goes down, intelligence goes up. And vice versa.
3. They are efficient with their time. Wealthy individuals consider every minute precious. They don't waste it on things that aren't helping them achieve their goals.
4. They see fear as an opportunity. You’ve probably heard me teach this a million times: be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful. Opportunity is always ready for you.
5. They know how to commit. This is not only in their mindset but also in their ability to follow through and achieve things with action. Most people commit to something with their minds, but they fail to do the things necessary to make it happen. Remember, action is everything!
6. They worry about themselves. In other words, they realize that no one else will take care of them. They take responsibility for their time, actions, and results.
7. They embrace failure. This is VITAL because everyone experiences failure along the way. The key is to use failure as the stepping stool to the next level of success. Learn from mistakes, and you are on the right path.
8. They value education. Not only high school and college, but they are committed to LIFELONG learning.
