Recommended Reading for Financial Education

If you have been reading some of my blogs or emails over the past year, you will understand the emphasis I place on financial education. To me, it is so important to make reading financial books a daily priority.

Our society doesn’t provide us with financial education. We have to seek out this information on our own. It is not taught in schools, required by our government, and or taught by our parents in most situations. We all have to make it a choice to find this education.

Financial Education, in my opinion, ranks high as some of the most important learning we need in the world we live in.

In many of my blogs, I refer to Robert Kiyosaki’s series of books… (The Rich Dad Series). In my mind, he has so much to offer in the way of financial education.

Here are 3 books I would recommend you buy off of Amazon written by Robert Kiyosaki:

1. “Rich Dad Poor Dad”

2. “Cash Flow Quadrant”

3. “Retire Young, Retire Rich”

Read these three books in the above order and you will be off to a great start on your financial education journey.

A word on reading vs studying books… I recommend that you just don’t read these books but you study them. When I study a book there is always a highlighter in my hand. I also use my phone to record “Notes” that serve as a library of reminders daily for reference. I have over 500 “notes” stored on my phone that I frequently refer to.

Enjoy this journey of education… you will be glad you did.
